Thanks for visiting my site! I design products, services, and systems. My process leans on human-centered research, empirical data, and a balance between divergent thinking & big-picture realism.
I'm a founding member of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Technologist program, where I use my UX, product, and tech knowledge to protect consumers. More specifically, I help with the Bureau's enforcement efforts, conduct research, and help create regulations.
Right now, I’m very interested in dark patterns, algorithmic/AI bias, and underserved populations.
I also consult pro-bono for non-profits like AGNCY and Inner-City Arts - if you're doing a project for good and want to connect, please email me.
Previously, I was a designer & researcher at:
• Capital One Small Business
• Honda R&D's Human-Machine Interaction Group
• McMaster-Carr
I went to college at Carnegie Mellon University, where I studied Integrative Design, Arts, & Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.
Before graduating, I:
• worked as a Design Catalyst at Autodesk
• was rapid prototyping & cognitive robotics teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science.
• designed & built a robot for Google at Deeplocal Design Studio
• interned at Northrop Grumman Aerospace & Honda Corporate
• performed & published research at Stanford's S3L Lab
• performed research at Caltech's Orphan Lab
